The National Construction College is the training division of CITB-ConstructionSkills and it has four campuses around the country. The College have been using Reelfix since the company launched the one use disposable reel in February 2004. In January 2006 the college adopted the new refillable Rapid system. Now, apprentices and graduates cut there teeth in Steel Fixing using the UK's best selling tying wire reel.

As part of of the ‘Muddy Boots’ course, graduates are put through their paces on the basics of steel fixing. Muddy Boots has been running for around 20 years with more than 150 graduates taking part each year.

The Reelfix reels have been recognised by CITB instructors as an innovative step forward in steel fixing techniques and as a positive safety solution. "Taking loose wire out of the equation can only enhance efforts to bring down the number of trip and eye injuries suffered by steel fixers"
