Wire Trip Hazards

Loose tying wire is notorious for causing trip accidents not only amongst steel fixers, but anyone who ventures into an area where steel fixers are working, or have been working. This issue is easily addressed by using Reelfix. Tying wire is drawn from the reel as required for each tie. That means that unlike using loose coils, there is no wire on the ground and therefore, no wire to trip on. Simple, effective and TOTAL risk elimination.

Flying ends

Danger - Loose wire used on this site! Dragging lengths of tying wire around while tying rebar is hazardous to steel fixers and those working around them. The fixer has one end of wire in his hand and under control, but the other end is free to fly around, hence the "flying end". Remember this is a razor sharp, 1.6mm diameter piece of steel. Flying ends can cause a variety of injuries from scratches to the skin to serious eye injury and even eye loss. Using Reelfix, only one end of wire is exposed and used correctly, this remains under control in the users hand. Any excess wire drawn from the reel is quickly and easily rewound by the user.

Note

Reelfix Construction Products strongly supports the wearing of eye protection and gloves during steel fixing operations.
